Welcome back to school, and welcome to 4th grade!  I hope that the first day of school went well for you and your 4th grader and that your child had many exciting things to tell you about this afternoon.  I met many of you at Shark School last week, but I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself to those of you who I didn’t have the chance to meet.

I began my teaching career in 2000.  I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades during those years.  I taught here in Kingwood at Elm Grove before taking a few years off to stay at home with my young children.  I began teaching again at Shadow Forest eight years ago.  This year I will be teaching 4th grade half of the day and spending the remainder of the day working with the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade teachers as the Academic Lead Teacher for Literacy.  My husband and I have three children (Bethany—11th grade, Charlotte—6th grade, and William--4th grade).  We live here in the community, and the kids are involved in a variety of activities so I’m sure you will see us out and about around town.

I love teaching and am honored to be a part of your child’s life.  Please know that I recognize you have entrusted me with your most valuable treasure, and I do not take that responsibility lightly.  I am looking forward to having a wonderful year with you and your child.  Please contact me with questions or concerns.  I look forward to working alongside you this year.

    Sincerely,

    Rebecca Endtricht
