    Current Illness Outbreaks

Humble ISD schools closures have been extended through May 1, 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We are committed to "flattening the curve" by decreasing the chance of exposure and spread of this illness. PLEASE listen to your local and federal health advisors and STAY HOME. We are all in this together! Lets stick together by staying apart. Use this time together to strengthen our family ties by playing, listening, and sharing with each other. Let's strengthen our bodies and minds with exercise and learning, crafts, new games. Let us adults set a good example of patience, respect, and caring. Let us share with the younger generation what life was like 30, 40, 50 years ago. Call a grandparent who might be lonely and actually talk to them on the phone. Ask them the questions you have always wanted to ask. Be creative, but always be safe!
    Sincerely,
    Laurie Para, RN

Every effort will be made to keep parents informed of outbreaks of strep throat, pinkeye, lice, flu and other contagious diseases.

Please help reduce illness in the school by keeping your child home if he/she has had fever or vomited in the past 24 hours.

A child must be fever free without medication such as Tylenol/Motrin
for 24 hours before returning to school.

If your child is absent due to illness, please call the attendance line ( 281-641-1919 ) and inform them of the absence. Please state if your child has had a fever > 100, cough, vomiting, or sore throat

PLEASE observe your child for scratching heads and regularly check for signs of lice. Remind students to NOT share combs, brushes, hats, or hair accesories.  Remind your child to wash hands after blowing nose, coughing, or sneezing! THE BEST DEFENSE IS A GOOD OFFENSE!!!!
