Current Illness Outbreaks

1/29/18 Influenza (FLU) has continued to hit our students as well as families in the community. I ask that you please practice good hand washing. Please also let me know if your child is home from school with fever, cough, sore throat or other respiratory symptoms. I am required to report our "flu count" daily to the health department.

Every effort will be made to keep parents informed of outbreaks of strep throat, pinkeye, lice, flu and other contagious diseases.
Please help reduce illness in the school by keeping your child home if he/she has had fever or vomited in the past 24 hours.
A child must be fever free without medication such as Tylenol/Motrin
for 24 hours before returning to school.
If your child is absent due to illness, please call the attendance line ( 281-641-1919 ) and inform them of the absence. Please state if your child has had a fever > 100, cough, vomiting, or sore throat
PLEASE observe your child for scratching heads and regularly check for signs of lice. Remind students to NOT share combs, brushes, hats, or hair accesories.  Remind your child to wash hands after blowing nose, coughing, or sneezing! THE BEST DEFENSE IS A GOOD OFFENSE!!!!
