Welcome to Fourth Grade!
Hi! I hope everyone had a great summer! My name is Mrs. Terrell and I will be teaching your 2nd Grade Math & Science! I’m really excited about this new year! We’re going to have a fantastic year!
WOW! Where do I begin? Well, I’m originally from the Beaumont area. I actually graduated from a small school called Hamshire-Fannett. After graduating from high school, I moved to Nacogdoches and started college at SFA. I graduated in 2002 with a degree in elementary education, and got a call from a middle school principal about a job teaching 7thGrade Reading. I took the job and moved to Dayton. That first year was a very busy year for me because not only was it my first year teaching, but I was also getting married and building a house! After teaching 7thGrade for 3 years, I decided to take a job teaching 3rdGrade Language Arts at Richter Elementary in Dayton. I taught there for 4 years, and have lots of great memories and friends there. In 2009, my husband and I decided we wanted to move to Atascocita. So we sold our home, and started building a new one in Eagle Springs. We fell in love with the community! Soon I got a job teaching 3rdgraders at Eagle Springs Elementary. Then the opportunity arose for me to teach 5thGrade at Atascocita Springs Elementary. I just couldn’t pass up the amazing opportunity to teach at such a wonderful school! So this is my 6th year teaching at this “Pawsome” school!
I have a wonderful husband named Josh and 3 awesome kids named Kylie, Kade, and Keegan (which you will hear LOTS of stories about throughout the year). Kylie will is starting college this fall at LoneStar; Kade will a sophomore at KPH; and Keegan is 8 years old and will be attending ASE with me. We also have 3 pets: our rescue dog named Cinnamon, my Yorkie and diva named Josie; and the newest addition to our family, my daughter's dog, Kruger. He's a puppy and a handful. At 7 months, he's huge and looks like a full-grown dog!
My hobbies are centered around spending time with my family. I love to shop (what girl doesn’t), travel, decorate my house, redo furniture, and read a good book in my spare time.
