Weather Guidelines
Humble ISD Middle School Athletic Cold Weather Policies: Practice
Wet Cold is considered Humidity of 50% or more.
Real Feel TM 41 to 45 degrees (Wet Cold):
• 30 minutes of exposure
• 20 minutes inside (may return outside after 20 minutes)
• Temperature should be rechecked to determine modifications.
• Dry clothing (socks, gloves)
• If athletes clothing is wet (visibly wet) they must change into dry clothes before returning outside
• Athletes must be dressed in warm‐ups with extremities coveredReal Feel TM 40 degree or Below (Wet Cold):
• All activities will be inside
• No outside exposureReal Feel TM 35 to 39 degree (Dry):
• 30 minutes of total exposure to chill factor
• 20 minutes inside (may return outside after 20 minutes)
• Temperature should be rechecked to determine modifications.
• Warm‐ups must be worn at all times, extremities coveredWind Chill of Below 34 degrees(Dry):
• All activities will be inside

If your son or daughter gets injured during athletics you have the option of taking them to KPHS trainers.
