    Coach Ervin begins his 9th season as the Head Track and Field/Head Cross Country Coach of the Bulldogs of Summer Creek High School. During his first nineyears here at Summer Creek Ervin has led school record holder Jake Bootz to the State XC Meet twice, advance his team to the Regional XC Meet 5 out of the 6 years and has had countless Athletes make the All District Team.

    Ervin looks to guide the Bulldogs to greatness in the newly formed 22-6A District which features the following teams: Kingwood, Atascocita, Humble, Dobie, Memorial, Rayburn, South Houston, Pasadena.
     
    Ervin was named head coach after serving as a assistant coach at Atascocita High School for several years.  He served as the Head Track and Field Coach at Cypress Springs High School in 2007. Ervin ran track at the University of Houston where he competed in the 400 and 800 meters. After the completion of his collegiate career he served on the Track and Field Coaching Staff at U of H. Ervin begin his collegiate career at the University of Kansas, where he was a member of the Jayhawks' 4x400-meter relay team and competed in the 800 meters.
     

    Born August 19, 1980 in Jasper, Texas, Ervin was a high school All-America selection at Westbury High School in Houston. His twin brother Elton Ervin is the Head Track and Field & Head XC Coach here at Summer Creek High School.
