• SUMMER DUAL CREDIT ACADEMY

    During the summer, Humble ISD offers students the opportunity to earn college credit (DCSA). The cost of each course is $78 and registration will take place from March 7th to March 31st. Seats are limited.

    Students interested in DCSA must:

    • SIGN UP
    • GET APPROVAL
      • Meet with your grade level counselor to determine TSIA2 eligibility & submit Lone Star College paperwork (EA form, LSC Application) by April 29th.

    REQUIRED TEST SCORES FOR DUAL CREDIT

    A high school student is eligible to enroll in Dual Credit with the following TSIA2 Scores:

    • ELAR: score of 945+ or <945 and 5 (Diagnostic) 
    • Essay: score of 5
    • Math: score of 950+ or 6 (ABE-M)

    Approved exemptions for TSIA2 include EOC, PSAT/NMSQT, and SAT. Please see your counselor for more details.

    DUAL CREDIT COURSES OFFERED AT HHS
     
    In the spring, Humble High School students have the opportunity to request dual credit courses during the course selection process.  All students must have a qualifying test score on the TSI, PSAT/NMSQT, or specific EOC exams.  Current dual credit courses offered at HHS are listed below.
    • College Algebra
    • Composition & Rhetoric I
    • Composition & Rhetoric II

    CORE CURRICULUM

    If you are applying to Texas colleges, you can find out which community college credits transfer to a four-year university and satisfy the various elements of the Texas General Core. The Texas Core Curriculum consists of between 42 to 48 credits, depending on the university.
