    Ashley Boyd, Head Coach

I am a Beaumont native who comes to Atascocita High School from Centennial High School in Burleson, TX. This is my 7th year coaching, 4th as a head coach, and 6th year teaching.

I attended Oklahoma State University on a softball scholarship and played in the 2008-2011 seasons and received my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Exercise in May 2012. My senior season was capped off by an appearance in the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City. While completing my degree during my 5th year at OSU, I was an assistant softball coach at Stillwater High School and also worked as a student manager for the OSU Softball team.

In my days at Centennial, I taught all seniors Anatomy and Physiology as well as Forensic Science and was the Freshman Volleyball Coach as well as Varsity Assistant for Softball. I have had the honor of coaching 3 All- State Selections for softball in addition to being a Teacher of the Year Nominee in both of my years in the classroom.

At Atascocita, I work with Credit Recovery students in addition to coaching duties.  Softball has seen tremendous success each year.  2015 Regional Quarterfinalists, 2016 State Semi-Finalists, 2017 Regional Semi Finalists.  We have had 3 All State Nominees, 1 State Player of the Year, 3 District MVP's, 1 District Newcomer of the Year, and countless All District Nominees.

In my spare time I enjoy watch and attending sporting events, coaching a 14u Sudden Impact team, watching movies and Netflix, and spending time with my family.  This is the closest I have been to most of my family in the last 8 years and I am going to enjoy seeing them more than a couple of times a year.  I completed my Master's in Coaching and Athletic Administration through Concordia University- Irvine in July 2016.

I am excited to be a part of the AHS family and looking forward to an amazing season of Lady Eagle Softball.
