This course is part of the Animal Systems pathway in the Agriculture, Food and Natural Resource Systems cluster of courses. It is designed as an introduction to livestock animals and their care. Topics include care/handling, reproduction, anatomy/physiology, facilities, and nutrition for the following animals: cattle, sheep, goats, swine, poultry and rabbits.
This course is a 1/2 credit (one semester) and is the pre-requisite to Advanced Animal Science.
