The Kingwood Middle School R.I.G. (Reading is Great) reading list is comprised of the Texas Lone Star List.
The Lone Star List is a recommended reading list, for students in grades 6 -8, developed by librarians from the Young Adult Round Table, a committee of TLA (Texas Library Association). All of the titles have received favorable reviews in a professional reviewing source. The list is intended for recreational reading and is not required reading.
Incentives are offered to KMS students who read the books; tell their parents about what they've read, and return their signed R.I.G reading record to the librarian by the April deadline.
Prizes are awarded for reading 10, 15, and 20 titles.
