    WATCH D.O.G.S.® Program

The Dads/Dudes of Great Students WATCH D.O.G.S. program is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement organizations in the country. WATCH D.O.G.S. is a family and community engagement educational initiative designed and developed by educators, experts and parent volunteers over more than two decades.

This program helps provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.

WATCH D.O.G.S. are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for at least one day each year at our school. During the day, WATCH D.O.G.S. may read and work on flash cards with students, play at recess, eat lunch with students, watch the school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow and any other assigned activities where they actively engage with not only their own students, but other students as well. On the day of their participation, WATCH D.O.G.S. are introduced to the staff and students, their photo is taken for our photo wall and they are given a brief tour and review of their schedule.
