Welcome Wildcat Nation!
I am Mr. Luevanos. This will be my 13th year as an Educator (Second year in Humble). I have taught in Houston Independent School District with experience in six, seventh, and eight grade. In addition to teaching, I have been a Team Lead, Department Chair, Mentor, and International Baccalaureate Coordinator. I was honored to have won Teacher of the Year twice while at Fonville Middle School (2011-2012 and 2012-2013).
Before I began my journey in education, I proudly served in the United States Army, where I earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. I deployed to Iraq during the Global War on Terrorism and Operation Iraqi Freedom. After seven years of service, I gracefully hung up my uniform and started to pursue my dream of becoming an Educator.
I am extremely grateful to be the Assistant Principal of Humble Middle School. For the 2020-2021 school year, I will have the pleasure of working with scholars whose last names fall in the alpha split of RAN-Z. In order for our students to succeed in academics, sports, and life, we all need to work together. I am committed to helping our students become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who think critically and are open minded. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
When I am not at school, I enjoy playing Clash Royale and spending time traveling with my wife, 18 year-old daughter, and 6 year-old niece. My wife of 25 years is also in the field of education.
