The first week of summer band is in our Rearview Mirror. The Vibe has been great getting to meet new people and working on all our new Riffs and Revelations. This week we will move to The Other Side of the day to accommodate teacher meetings with rehearsals in the evenings from 3-7 everyday. We will start inside and move outside as weather permits. Please be on time. We are primed to start learning drill Right Here, Right Now using a new (FREE) app. See details below.

 

***NEW*** UDB App: This year the Kingwood Park Band will be using an app called Ultimate Drill Book to facilitate learning the drill and movements of our 2022 field show. This free app gives the students more insight into their overall product and hardly takes any space on their device. Every student will need their own device for rehearsal or contact a director for assistance getting a device. Initial Wifi connection is the only requirement. The app works without data. Please take a moment tonight or tomorrow morning to download the app. We will teach you how to navigate it in rehearsal on Monday.

 

Dinner: In order to Maximize our time, please eat a healthy snack and hydrate with water prior to rehearsal. There will not be a dinner break during our rehearsal.

 

White T-Shirts: In order to learn and clean drill efficiently, please wear a white based t-shirt all week. Any white shirt at home will be fine. Keep in mind that you are going to sweat and wear sunscreen. 

 

Picture Day: Thursday, August 4, is Band Picture Day. The professional photographers will start snapping pictures at 3pm in the Band Hall. The Band hall will be open from 1-3 to allow members time to get dressed and make last minute adjustments to their uniform. It is recommended that students arrive by 2:45 at the latest to get dressed and lined up. Picture order packets will go home during the week.
