• What are the Grading Guidelines for Art?

    Grading Guidelines for Website

     

    Students in grades K-2 are graded on a 4, 3, 2, 1 scale.  Students in 3-5 are graded on an E, S, N, U scale.  The following descriptors are used to provide structure and explanation for our grading process. 

     

    "E" (Excellent) will be equivalent to "4." The descriptors for this grade are:

    “Consistently meets and often exceeds standards,” “Rare to no errors,” “Rarely needs support to meet standard. Independently and or collaboratively works with ease and extends”

     

    "S" (Satisfactory) will be equivalent to "3." The descriptors for this grade are:

    “Regularly meets standards,” “Limited errors,” “Occasionally needs teacher support.  Demonstrates proficiency”  

     

    "N" (Needs Improvement) will be equivalent to "2." The descriptors for this grade are: 

    “Beginning to meet standards,” “Many errors,” “Frequently needs teacher support”

     

    "U" (Unsatisfactory) will be equivalent to "1." The descriptors for this grade are:

    “Working below grade level,” “Needs strong instructional support”
