Summer Reading
Challenge
InformationSummer Reading Challenge
This summer students at Creekwood Middle School are asked to read for 20 minutes every day and take part in our 1,000 minutes of summer reading challenge. We are asking students to explore and read what interests them. Our librarian, Mrs. Cancino, has put together recommended on-trend reads that appeal to a variety of interest levels. We encourage students to use the public library as well as other sources featured in our “Summer Resources” section of the parent letter on the RELA website.
The students will track their progress on our “1,000 minutes of reading” gameboard. There are several different rewards they can earn along the way, including a raffle for those that reach the 1,000 minutes goal. The due date for turning in the gameboard is Friday, August 12, 2022.
If you have any questions, please contact Pamela Love.
