Innovative Dining Services
High school students make a positive difference in our community. Humble ISD students in grades 9-12 who were chosen as Students of Character at the end of their eighth grade year make up the Superintendent's Advisory Council. At the meetings, held regularly throughout the school year, students discuss what they love about Humble ISD and identify areas where they would like to see enhancements made. Their input and feedback allows Humble ISD to continuously improve. One area where the students wanted to see some modernization was in school cafeterias. This Inspiring Moment gives a small ‘taste’ of what’s coming next year.

2021-2022 Teachers of the Year
The 2021-2022 school year was a challenge for everyone - and yet we witnessed the incredible adaptability, creativity, and dedication of teachers as the took students further in their learning journey. Celebrate two of those teachers: Emily Porter-Roy, Humble ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year, and Dwight Smith, Secondary and District Teacher of the Year.

Early Childhood Education
Early Childhood Education, which includes Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs, helps promote early learning success for all students served. Each Spring is a very exciting time when we get to meet families whose children will be beginning their educational journey the following year as incoming Pre-K or Kindergarten students. Get a glimpse inside some of our Pre-K and Kindergarten programs.

A Poem from the Students of Humble ISD
January is School Board Appreciation Month. Students from every campus in Humble ISD read a poem to honor the Humble ISD Board of Trustees.

Lakeland Elementary Violins
Students at Lakeland Elementary School and North Belt Elementary School are experiencing fine arts at a young age. Humble ISD began piloting a Fine Arts Wheel at Lakeland last school year, and expanded it to North Belt this school year, to provide students with the opportunity to experience orchestra, band, theater, choir, mariachi, and dance in elementary school. Participating in the arts is both a mental and physical activity. The arts encompass concepts from reading, math, social studies, and science, and students work together in a collaborative environment to perform. This video is a live performance of the fifth grade violins from Lakeland Elementary School, assisted by their teacher, Mr. Edward Gleason.

Humble ISD Health & Wellness Clinics
Humble ISD health and wellness clinics are an important part of the new Cigna alternative health care plans Humble ISD offered employees during the past enrollment period. The clinics offer high quality medical care and a wide variety of services while being very affordable (or free).

Building the Future
As a fast growth district, Humble ISD has built a lot of buildings in recent years. As a school district that recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, there are a number of facilities that have been around for some time. Some buildings have been repurposed to benefit the community, while others are being brought up to today's standards of education and functionality. Take a brief journey into the past and future of Humble ISD facilities and how they impact our students and community.

We're Back!
After five months, we're back on campus and Humble ISD is constantly working to create the best and safest experience for our students and staff. This month's Inspiring Moments gives some insight into the first few days of the 2020 school year.

The 2020-2021 school year is starting off like no other in Humble ISD's history. Humble ISD is committed to educating students in ways that best meet their needs, and the needs of their family. Through innovation and flexibility, students, teachers and parents can have a successful 2020-2021 school year. 

 
Words of Wisdom from the Class of 2020
Humble ISD Class of 2020 offers inspiring words of wisdom. The students are: Gabby Karamihan, Atascocita High School Valedictorian Naima Rahim, Humble High School Valedictorian Seaver Sasso, Kingwood High School Valedictorian Will Hurley, Kingwood Park High School Valedictorian Katie Impelman, Quest Early College High School Valedictorian Briana Roenz, Summer Creek High School Valedictorian.

The top ten finalists for distritct teacher of the year were notified at their house with big celebrations while taking care to adhere to social distancing recommendations.
