Q: How many people can we bring to graduation?
Graduates will pick up a packet at KHS that will contain 10 tickets.
Graduates do not need a ticket. The tickets are for family and friends. The district utilized participating graduate numbers from each school’s Class of 2021 to determine the number of tickets to be distributed.
Q: Will the number of tickets be increased since COVID case numbers are down?
The number of tickets being issued in 2021 for Turner Stadium has been doubled compared to the number of tickets issued in 2020. We expect the stadium to be nearly full and want to provide a comfortable experience for families. Families are strongly encouraged to carpool. Some parking spaces will be unavailable due to construction on the Humble High School campus.
Q: What time do the gates open?
Gates will open to all spectators at 6:45 p.m.
Q: Will the tickets be for an assigned seat?
Tickets will be for a section of the stadium but not for a specific seat. Ticket holders will be required to sit in the section of the stadium that matches the color of their ticket. Guests also will be required to enter and exit the gate that matches the color of their ticket. Color-coded tickets and gates are among several measures that will be in place to help seat spectators near their student.
Q: If we will not use all our tickets, what should we do with extra tickets?
You may give tickets that you do not plan to use to others. Please be advised all tickets are color-coded to a specific section of the stadium. Families with two or more colors of tickets, because they received extra tickets from others, will need to split up and sit in the area associated with the color of the ticket that each person holds.
Q: When will we receive the tickets?
Graduates will pick up packets from their school the week prior to graduation. Schools will communicate dates and times for picking up graduation packets.
Q: Will there be a charge for parking at graduation?
Parking at Turner Stadium is free. There is no assigned parking at the stadium complex. Carpooling is strongly advised this year due to construction at Humble High School. There will be a designated parking lot for students who carpool with other students.
- Home Parking Lot (only partially available due to construction)
- Visitor’s Parking Lot
- Grass Overflow Parking next to baseball field
- Ag Barn Parking Lot
- New Covenant Church Parking Lot
- Rustic Timbers Street Parking
- Student Carpool Lot/Faculty Parking near Quest ECHS
Q: Where will handicapped parking be located?
Handicapped parking will be located in the visitor’s parking lot, north of the baseball field and in the lot near the softball field. There will be handicap dropoff in the softball field lot and by the front gate on the visitor's side. Golf cart shuttles will also be running throughout the night.
Q: Will there be shuttles?
We will have golf cart shuttles running throughout the complex to assist guests who are physically unable to walk the distance from their car to the stadium.
Q: Will there be concessions?
There will be no concessions.
Q: What can we bring into the stadium?
Guests are encouraged to bring bottled water and a towel. Water will be available for the graduates if needed.
Q: What is prohibited at the stadium?
Signs, noisemakers, and balloons are not allowed because they interfere with other families hearing their child’s name or seeing their child walk across the stage.
Q: Will there be a dress code for graduates?
Schools will not be requiring graduates to wear specific types of dress clothes, such as collared shirts, since the graduation will be outdoors and hot.
Q: Are masks required?
Masks are optional for spectators and graduates. If a graduate wants to wear a mask, the graduate will wear the mask to be provided by the school at the ceremony.
Q: Will there be water and medical personnel on hand?
Water will be available inside the stadium. Athletic training staff will be set up under both the home and visitor stands to treat any problems that may arise during the night. We will also have EMS on hand for emergencies.
Q: Will graduation be livestreamed?
TexanLive.com generously provides live streaming of the graduation ceremonies. Friends and family who want to avoid traveling, heat, or groups can watch online from home for free. The link will be on each high school’s website and at www.humbleisd.net/
Q: What happens if it rains or there is lightning in the area?
All spectators will be asked to exit the stands and wait under the bleachers until the weather clears. Graduates will go back into Humble High School for the duration of the weather event.
We look forward to celebrating our graduates!
