Gifted & Talented Services Referrals

The G/T referral process is receiving a facelift at Whispering Pines Elementary! In previous years there was a set testing window.  This year, we are piloting an expansion of the testing window, which will be available year-round.  This means that referrals can be made at any time of the academic year, and the assessments will occur at set times throughout the year. A referral can still only be made once per academic year, but this decision no longer needs to be made within the first few weeks of school. This will give parents and teachers more time to get to know students and decide if a referral for G/T services is right for them.
