Gifted & Talented Services Referrals

The G/T referral process is receiving a facelift at Centennial! In previous years there was a set testing window.  This year, we are piloting an expansion of the testing window, which will be available year-round.  This means that referrals can be made at any time of the academic year, and the assessments will occur at set times throughout the year. A referral can still only be made once per academic year, but this decision no longer needs to be made within the first few weeks of school. This will give parents and teachers more time to get to know students and decide if a referral for G/T services is right for them. 

Please still attend the ‘Should I Refer My Child?  Webinar on August 29 if you might be interested in referring your child for G/T services.  Please keep in mind that any deadlines mentioned do not apply to Centennial. Further information and guidance will be provided in the coming weeks, and we will begin accepting referrals on September 1, 2022.
