Thirty students from Honor Band competed in All-Region Band auditions. This is where they compete against all middle schools in Humble ISD, Galena Park ISD, Crosby ISD and Sheldon ISD to earn a spot in the All-Region Band. Many students audition, but if you make the All-Region Band, it is broken up by ability level starting with Symphonic Band, Concert Band then District band. Students in Symphonic and Concert Band will perform a concert with their group this Saturday.
We are so proud to announce that Ms. Edwards and Mrs. Polk's girls came 1st and 2nd place for the DEA's Red Ribbon Week Tik Tok challenge! Their video will be seen during Tiger Time. Thank you to Mrs. Nichols for organizing all the Red Ribbon Week videos, Tik Tok Challenge, and give-aways for kids participating in the spirit days; and to those that participated in Red Ribbon Week.
The 8th grade A Lady Tigers Volleyball team had an amazing season. Their record was 8-2 which landed them in a tie for second place in district. The team made history at home with a victory against the Riverwood Longhorns. This is an amazingly talented team and they will be a force to be reckoned with in high school.
