  • Bringing Devices to School (District or Personal)
Technology (Chromebooks) is needed when on-campus students return on Sept. 21 in order to provide the portion of our "Learning is Personal" Vision that includes blended learning & small-group instruction. AMS recognizes that families with on-campus children will still need the school-issued Chromebooks to complete missing work. So...for Sept. 21 - Oct. 2:
Parents whose children are "on-campus" can either...
    (1) return school-issued Chromebooks, or
    (2) bring Chromebooks to & from school to be used in the building
Students who have personal laptop/Chromebook have the option to bring their device to school for use in the classroom. Beginning Oct. 12, all on-campus students with a school-issued Chromebook will return the device to campus. This could change if COVID-19 data increases leading to the district to change learning locations.

  • PSAT 8/9 Rescheduled to the week of November 9-13
All 8th grade AMS face to face students will take the PSAT 8/9. Per the College Board (makers of PSAT/SAT), test administrations must be completed on campus. Parents of virtual students must opt-in to PSAT testing by completing this form by October 19 at midnight  in order to be scheduled for a test session at Atascocita Middle School. If you have already completed the form, the most recent completion will be used to schedule (or not schedule) your child for testing. There will be no retests. A testing schedule will be posted in Schoology in the Tiger Time/Advisory classrooms by 8am November 2nd. Learn more about PSAT 8/9 and how to prepare for test day, or visit collegeboard.org.
