Virus' and Bacteria (germs) are everywhere.  Some are good and others are not!  Every day, each one of us can work to protect ourselves and each other from GERMS!

You can help your loved one's stay healthy by washing your hands often and for a full 20 seconds, especially at these times:

    • After coughing, sneezing, or blowing your nose
    • Before, during, and after preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner
    • Before and after eating food
    • Before and after caring for someone who is sick
    • Before and after cleaning a cut or wound
    • After going to the bathroom
    • After changing diapers
    • After working or playing with your pet
    • After touching garbage

Did you know that we touch many things that have germs on them every day?  Can you guess what?

    • Vending machines
    • Touch screens or pin pad machines when we are buying things
    • Parking meters
    • Public sinks and toilet handles
    • Gas pump handles
    • Stair rails
    • door knobs
    • TV remotes
    • Store door handles....... and many more  Can you think of a few?

How can you try to not touch germy things?  Use a paper towel, use your elbow to push open a door or turn off the sink.  Can you think of other ways?

Hand Sanitizer is a great way to clean your hands if you do not see dirt on them and is at least 60% alcohol.  Even though, Handwashing with Soap and Water is the BEST!

All for now little Eagles!  Stay safe and Stay Healthy!
