The feedback we have received indicates an overall favorable tone around Option A with bus transportation provided for those in the area on the map marked 55F and 55B (Summerwood east of Deussen Parkway) to Elementary School #29. Additionally, Option A includes a Flex Zone from Balmoral (Ridge Creek and Groves Elementary Schools attendance areas) to Elementary School #29 to help manage enrollment at RCE and GE. Option A also phases out the Lakeshore Flex Zone to Groves.

Will my area be served by a school bus when attendance boundaries change for the 2020-2021 school year?
I live in the area on the map marked 55F and 55B (Lake Forest Village, Lake Park Village, Lakeside Terrace, Suncrest Village and South Point Village.) Under Option A, these areas are zoned to ES #29. If my children want to remain at Lakeshore Elementary, can they?
Currently enrolled students will be allowed to remain at Lakeshore Elementary School through the completion of fifth grade if they choose to do so. These students will be transfer students, and their transfer request will be automatically granted. Transportation to and from school for all transfer students in Humble ISD is the parent’s responsibility.I live in the area on the map marked 55K (Chapman Woods Crossing Apartments.) Under Option A and B, this area is zoned to Ridge Creek Elementary. If my children want to remain at Lakeshore Elementary, can they?

Summerwood Elementary School is serving 738 students. The building is designed for 750 students. If all of Summerwood attended Summerwood Elementary School, the school would be overcrowded with 1,050 students.
