    August 25, 2020:  How to Build An Inclusive Parent Group Community.  This workshop will guide leaders in creating a collaborative school community representing all parents.  Time of Workshop:  9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

    September 25,2020:  Humble ISD Virtual VIPS Conference - 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
    The Virtual Conference will offer workshops on Executive Board positions, fundraising, event planning, organizing a procedure book,

    October 23, 2020:   990 Day - 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. -  Kathy Ploch, CPA will assist PTAs, PTOs, and Parent Groups with preparing 990 electronic postcard, 990, and 990 EZ forms.

    November 17, 2020:  Self Care for Successful Leadership. Join the fun in learning simple yoga poses to help with self-care, breathing techniques, and mindfulness before the mad rush of the holidays and deadlines for projects.  Enjoy learning what we can do each day to love ourselves and recharge our batteries.  Time of Workshop:  9:00 am. - 10:30 a.m.

    January 19, 2021:   The Successful Art of Mediation.  Decisions made by parent group boards can often lead to a difference in opinions.  Learn the valuable skills of a reflective listener, showing empathy through interactive exercises.  Time of Workshop:  9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

    February 18, 2021:   Growing and Recruiting New Leaders.  Learn to recognize potential leaders in your parent groups and begin mentoring these individuals for future leadership roles.  Time of Workshop:  9 a.m. - 10:30 am.

    March 17, 2021:  Serving as Role Models for our children and modeling Portrait of a Graduate skills.   As parents, it is important to show our children the importance of the six traits of the Portrait of a Graduate:  Communicator, Global Thinker, Critical Thinker, Creative Innovator, Leader, Collobarator, and being personally responsible.  How many of these traits do we use everyday? Each team will be a given a project to complete.  Time of Workshop:  9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

    April 21, 2021:   Financial Resources for Parent Group Leaders.  As a leader, keeping track of the financial records and transactions can be a daunting task.  Come and listen to Treasurers from different parent groups share their effective strategies for meeting deadlines.  Time of Workshop:  9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

    Tuesdays TalksThe Office of Community Development will host "Tuesday Talks" on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.  These talks will be open to any parent group that has questions or needs additional information. The talks will be held via ZOOM until further notice.
