Welcome to First Grade!

My name is Rachelle Thomas. I taught for 20 years in North Carolina and this is my 4th year here in Texas and my 2nd here at  Deerwood!! I have a master's degree from Appalachian State University and I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. 

I have a cat named Oliver and a cat named Molly who I love to talk about and share funny stories with the children. I love animals of all kinds and read a lot of animal stories in class. I believe in laughing every day and building a class family. 

I am looking forward to an amazing year!

Hobbies: I love to crochet and cook. I love watching movies and going places with my sister and her family.
