  • Who is eligble to be an intern? 

    Must be a junior or senior

    Must be 16 years old by the first day of Service

    Must be able to provide their own transportation

     

  • What are the requirements and expectations of an intern?


    1. Acquire an internship on your own based on potential career interests

    2. Intern each Friday morning for a minimum of 4 hours starting between 8:00 am and 9:00 am

    3. Can intern more if arrangements are made with the internship supervisor

    4. Cannot intern at a family business

    5. Cannot be paid during hours of internship

    6. To establish an internship at a Humble ISD school that is a current partner, written permission from that campus principal must be submitted. 

  • I found an internship.  What do I do next?

    Use the following link to submit a request for approval for an internship for the 2023-24 school year:

     

    The deadline to submit a request for 2023-24 is May 12, 2023.

    The Service Learning Coordinator will verify the details of your internship with the Intern Supervisor in August/January and provide an approved/denied letter by the start of Service in August/January.
