    These scholarships are based on information sent into Kingwood High School and from College Room research.  Most scholarships are targeted to seniors; however, some are open to underclassmen.

    Applicants must be from Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, or Texas.  Applicants create a video about U.S. rice, National Rice Month, and the importance of rice to your state (must be 3 minutes or less)

    Texas Exes Scholarships (UT)

    Texas Exes gives out a number of scholarships.  Deadlines and amounts vary.  Please see site for deatils.  Applicants can apply even if they have not yet been admitted to The University of Texas at Austin.When you apply for admission to The University of Texas at Austin through ApplyTexas, you will receive an email with your UT EID within 24-48 hours. Please plan accordingly as you will need the EID in order to complete the scholarship application.

    Texas PTA Scholarship

    11/15/19

     $1000 (multi)

    Applications are open to PTA/PTSA members in a school with a PTA on their campus by 12/1/19.

    Haraldson Foundation Scholarship (UT)

    12/02/19 $5000 each semester, $40000 Total (multiple)

    Open to High school seniors, who have filed an application to attend The University of Texas.  Must be in the top 10% of the graduating class and have high ACT/SAT scores.  

    Hunt Scholars (SMU Only)

    01/15/20 $43,000 per year

    Must first submit your application to SMU and then take steps to apply to be a Hunt Scholar.  Please refer to the information brochure for more information.  

    Texas Student Housing Scholarship

    01/31/20 Full or partical off campus housing covered

    Open to students accepted to colleges in Austin, College Station, and Denton.  Scholarships are based on leadership and academic excellence.  See instructions for housing complexes covered.  

    Chloe Robison Scholarship

    01/31/20 $1350

    Graduating seniors attending Humble ISD. Applicants must have the intent to attend a post-secondary institution with a genuine interest in pursuing a liberal arts education. Part of the Humble ISD  Education Foundation Scholarships.  

    HARTA 

    01/31/20 $1500 (2)

    Graduating seniors attending Humble ISD and have at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicants must intent to major in education and attend a Texas college or university. Part of the Humble ISD  Education Foundation Scholarships.  

    Jake Silva Fine Arts Scholarship

    Open to graduating seniors from Humble ISD who have at least a 3.0 GPA and intend to major in fine arts. Part of the Humble ISD  Education Foundation Scholarships.  

    MST Foundation Scholarship

    Wagener Family Scholarship

    Graduating seniors attending Humble ISD. Applicants must have successfully completed a minimum of three (3) credits in a CTE coherent sequence of courses. Part of the Humble ISD  Education Foundation Scholarships.  

     02/15/20  $1000 Must be a senior from Humble ISD, Splendora ISD, or New Caney ISD. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on all high school work through the 1st semester of senior year.  This is a finanical need based scholarship
     
    02/15/20 $850-$1500 German music and language scholarships available.  If seclected as a finalist, applicants are required to attend a live competition in late March.  

    George and Mary Josephine Hamman Foundation

     2/16/20  $18000 over 4 years (70) 

    Applicants must be HS seniors residing in one of eight counties surrounding the Houston area.  Scholarships are awarded based on academics and financial need.  

    Sandy Schenker Capell Scholarship

     April 2020  $2500  This scholarship is awarded each year to a Houston area High School Senior interested in a career in media.Be sure to fill out 2019/20 application.
