Teacher Retirement System
TRS is a retirement pension plan. District employees that work half-time or more in regularly schedule positions are automatically enrolled in TRS. Humble ISD is required to withhold and submit your monthly member contribution (7.7% of your eligible salary on a pre-tax basis) to TRS. TRS is a defined benefit plan which means your monthly benefit during retirement is “defined” by a formula; it is not limited to the amount of your accumulated contributions in your TRS member account.

Humble ISD TRS Reporting Official – Helpful with questions relating to the TRS deduction from pay. *Humble ISD submits monthly member contributions for the previous month by the 6th of the current month. Humble ISD processes TRS termination inquires relating to TRS Form 6 on a weekly basis.
