This is my 4th year as part of the ASE family and I know that it is going to be the BEST year ever! Despite all the craziness in our current world, I am just as dedicated to my students, parents, ASE staff, and our community as ever before.
So a little about me. I was born and raised in the small oil town of Alice, Texas. I attended Texas State University and graduated with a degree in Animal Science. After graduation I had the unique opportunity to work at the Houston Zoo as a Zoo Keeper and then the Zoo Registrar for 7 years. I decided to go back to school and earn my teaching certification and this will be my 14th year teaching - 7 years in Kindergarten, 2 years in 1st grade, 3 years in 2nd grade, and 1 year in 4th grade, and now my first year in 5th grade. My husband, Greg, is the head men’s swim coach and teacher at Kingwood Park High school. We have been married 20 years and have a daughter, Erin. She will be a Sophmore at Kingwood Park High School. When I am not at school one of their athletic events, you will find me working with my foster kittens, Girl Scouts, or out backpacking.
You are always welcome to call or email me with any questions or concerns you have. I know that working together we can help your child be the best he/she can be. I am excited about being your child's teacher and helping them reach their potential.
