• Art 1: As the foundation for all other courses in the Visual Arts, Art 1 introduces students to a broad understanding and application of the visual arts using a variety of learning experiences in two and three-dimensional art forms, developing art vocabulary and gaining an understanding of historical and cultural art forms.   • Drawing 3 and 4 (prerequisite: Art 1 & preferably a level 2 course as well) Upper level art courses are specific to one dicipline: drawing: incorporating different mediums into that dicipline. Students are given opportunities to develop personal themes within the art discipline while builiding on previous skills learned and gaining more advanced skills. Art fee (same fee for all levels 2-4): $60

  • Sculpture 2 and 3 (prerequisite: Art 1 & Sculpture 2) introduces students to 3-D design and building techniques of various mediums. It will also be expected that students continue to utilize their knowledge from Art 1 and explore how the basic design elements and principles of art apply to 3-dimensional media.  Students will explore creation through compositional development, personal style and expression in both abstract or realistic traditions. Art Fee $60
