  • This is Mrs. Kennedy’s 13th year to teach competitive dance and 7th year to teach dance in the public school system. She graduated from Humble High School in 2007, where she was a military officer on the Humble Wildcatdets. After high school, she went on to attend Texas A&M University (whoop!), where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and Linguistics. While in college, Mrs. Kennedy taught competition dance at Expressions Dance and Music, was a member Dance Arts Society, Kappa Kappa Gamma and Fish Camp. After graduating, she became a Speech Therapist Assistant at Pine Forest Elementary and continued to teach dance at Atascocita Dance Academy. In 2016 she started an integrated dance program that has now turned into a team, The Stars and Stripes, at Atascocita High School. In 2017 Mrs. Kennedy earned the title of Atascocita High School’s Teacher of the Year as well as Humble ISD’s Teacher of the year!

  • Ms. Friday is a recent graduate from The University of Texas at Austin where she earned her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance with a concentration in dance education. During college, Ms. Friday was a four year member of Texas Dance and had the privilege of serving as Captain her senior year.  She was also a member of Delta Gamma and served as a Camp Texas Counselor.  Ms. Friday grew up in Atascocita and has been dancing since the age of three. She was a company member at Lake Houston Performing Arts Center from 2003-2014 where she competed and trained in a variety of styles.  Ms. Friday was also a four year member of the Atascocita High School Patriettes Dance Team where she served as Jr. Lieutenant and Captain.  After graduating high school Ms. Friday became a staff member of Crowd Pleasers Dance Company where she gets to continue her passion of teaching dance and guiding dance teams in leadership activities throughout Texas.  This is Ms. Friday’s first year teaching in the public school system and she is thrilled to return home and work with the Patriettes!
