  • Ashleigh Friday began her dance training at age three at Lake Houston Performing Arts Center located in Atascocita, Texas. She was a company member at LHPAC from 2003-2014 where she trained and competed in a variety of styles. During her time with LHPAC, she had several performance opportunities including Good Morning Houston and America’s Got Talent. Ms. Friday was also a four year member of the Atascocita High School Patriettes Dance Team where she served as Jr. Lieutenant and Captain. After graduating high school in 2015, Ms. Friday became a member of Crowd Pleasers Dance Staff. With Crowd Pleasers, Ms. Friday works team/officer camps and competitions, choreographs routines, and engages teams in leadership activities all throughout the state of Texas. Ms. Friday attended The University of Texas at Austin (Hook ‘Em Horns!) and earned a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance with a focus in Dance Education. She had the honor of performing with the Dance Repertory Theatre, the award-winning student dance company within the UT Dance Department, and was a four year member of the competitive dance team, Texas Dance, serving as Co-Captain and Captain. Throughout her college years, Ms. Friday was an All State Collegiate Assistant at the Texas Dance Educator’s Association Convention, a Camp Texas Counselor, and a four year member of Delta Gamma sorority. She was the recipient of the inaugural Kay Gabrysch Dance Educator Scholarship awarded by Crowd Pleasers Dance, a member of the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, and a member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. This is Ms. Friday's third year teaching at AHS and her second as head Director. Ms. Friday feels very honored to work in Humble ISD and direct a team that is so meaningful to her.

Assistant Director: Cassie Lee

  • Cassie Lee discovered a love for dance at the age of four. She has trained in multiple dance genres and danced locally at Profusion Performing Arts in Atascocita, Tx where she enjoyed dancing competitively for a number of years. Ms. Lee was also a proud member of the Atascocita High School Patriettes for four years where she served as Jr. Lieutenant and as Captain her senior year. After high school, Ms. Lee was hand-selected to train with Universal Dance Association where, as a member of the UDA staff, she worked with high school dance teams across Texas, providing quality educational dance training with additional emphasis on motivation, inspiration, and energizing of the entire team. Ms. Lee attended Stephen F. Austin State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dance Education and a minor in General Business. During her time at SFA, she was invited to be a member of the Repertory Dance Company which afforded comprehensive training in a diverse repertoire of dance styles and forms, as well as additional opportunities for growth through numerous professional guest artist choreographic works, master classes, and regularly held workshops. Throughout her time as a member of the Company, she enjoyed a multitude of performance opportunities, in addition to annual departmental concerts. Ms. Lee is excited to be back at AHS having the ability to pass on her knowledge, experience, and love of dance to AHS students. This is her sixth year teaching dance and her second year teaching in a public school setting.
