Going Above and Beyond
Ideas for Challenge One:
There will be a challenge posted each nine weeks.
These challenges are not awarded numerical grades and will not affect your graded classwork.
Instead, for every challenge *attempted, you will receive three tickets towards the end of the nine weeks' prizes.
For every challenge met, you will receive five tickets.
For every challenge exceeded, you will receive ten tickets
It will be difficult to meet each challenge as these challenges are designed to make you think beyond what is practiced in class. Still, it can be done and there is no end to what you can accomplish if you keep trying.
*attempted is defined as: with proof of best known effort from student. Sloppy work that has been thrown together will not be accepted for credit.
**Tickets are the responsibility of the student. Tickets may accumulate towards larger prizes, but they can only be redeemed at the end of the nine weeks grading period. Students may elect to cash in any portion of their ticket lot and retain the rest.
***Students with the highest number of points will be chosen to select their prizes first. Prizes will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. If the prizes for fifteen tickets have all been selected by the time a student is called to claim their prizes multiple lesser prizes may be combined.
