    Greetings BBE Bears!

I am honored to begin 2022 as the assistant principal at Bear Branch Elementary.  I feel very blessed to work with such amazing students, staff, and community. During my educational career of twenty-nine years, I have served as a classroom teacher, campus literacy coach, district literacy specialist, and as a district literacy coordinator.  Throughout my time in education I have learned the importance of establishing an open and trusting culture, where everyone feels heard, valued and accepted. It is my priority to help continue creating a climate where everyone feels safe and welcome.

I was born in Ruston, Louisiana, but raised in Baytown and Kingwood. I am Humble proud through and through! After graduating from Kingwood High School in 1988, I continued my educational journey earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education from The University of North Texas and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.

My husband and I have two children, a granddaughter, and many fur babies.  We love relaxing at the beach and visiting DISNEY WORLD. I enjoy reading, antiquing, cats, and LOVE Harry Potter!

I look forward to working and collaborating with you as I serve our BBE community. Please contact me any time!
