    Mrs. Fade

I am a native Texan, and moved to the Houston area in the second grade.  I have a younger brother, Daniel, who also works at a school.  As a child, I converted my closet into a pretend classroom.  My brother and I would play school for hours.  I still remember the excitement when he first learned to write his name in our makeshift classroom!

My husband, Zach, and I have three lively little boys.  We also have a four year old Bengal cat and four golden retrievers who promise to keep our house interesting.

I started college in 2007, and completed an associate degree in natural science and a second in education from Lee College.  I graduated with a bachelor's from the University of Houston-- Clear Lake, majoring in education.  I went on to graduate with my master's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in elementary education.  I also completed the reading specialist program through SFA.  I am currently pursuing a doctorate in education from the University of West Florida in Pensacola.  Go Argos!

Before becoming a dyslexia intervention teacher, I taught 4th grade at Deerwood.  I love working with children and look forward to the laughter and adventures that each day brings!
