It is with excitement that I enter my 13th year in education.  I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of New Orleans and earned my Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Sam Houston State University in 2012.

I taught 5th and 7th grades and was the 2012-2013 Teacher of the Year at Carroll Elementary School in Sheldon ISD. I served as the assistant principal at Carroll Elementary for the 2013-2014 school year and accepted a positon as the associate principal of instruction at Bammel Middle School for the next two years. In 2016 I accepted a position as the district RtI coordinator in Spring ISD before becoming the principal at Clark Primary School and Hoyland Elementary School.

At Timbers Elementary we are committed to creating a safe and engaging learning community that encourages independence and creativity through collaboration, communication, exploration, and compassion. We believe that learning is an active and joyful process of discovery facilitated by passionate and inspiring staff members, so we work hard to nurture scholars’ hearts in order to inspire their minds. I am blessed to lead an amazing staff of educators whose priorities every day are to teach scholars the skills they need to be successful 21st century learners, to love children in a way that shows them just how valuable they are, and to inspire innovators who are creative risk-takers.

I am currently working to complete my Doctoral Degree in Innovation & Management at St. Thomas University and hope to complete my studies soon. In my spare time, I enjoy painting, reading, and spending time with my husband, Corey, and fur babies, Pepper, Princess, and Carter.

I look forward to my continued work with you and our scholars!
