• How can my business or organization partner with you?

    Posted by:

We very much appreciate any form of assistance your business or organization can offer us. Professional expertise in the field of construction and development, as well as monetary or material contributions, are first and foremost what we are looking for. If you would like to take an even more active role in our project and perhaps even assist us in the management of the property as we move into Phase 2 please contact Melissa Taylor M.A. at mptaylor@humbleisd.net.

  • Where will this community be located?

    Posted by:

The location for the community has yet to be determined for a number of reasons. We are currently working with professional architects and examining zoning laws to discern what would be most advantageous for the community. Funding is also something which obviously largely impacts the location and size of the plot that we purchase. Proximity to both transportation services and Humble ISD are things we have kept in mind as we have searched for potential community sites.

  • What are some features of the tiny homes?

    Posted by:

We currently have several different tiny home designs created by our own architecture students using the principles of universal design as defined by the NDA (National Disability Authoriy). These variations are based largely on several factors including location and cost effectiveness of the community. Our models range in size from 200 to 225 sq ft and all models will include HVAC units as well as compliance with the International Green Building Code.

  • How can you guarantee that the project will continue when students or faculty members move on?

    Posted by:

This past school year, as we have worked on this project, we have been conscious of the fact that eventually our students will be graduating and our faculty members may eventually be moving on. In order to sustain this project we have worked on recruiting underclassmen to work with us on this project with the intent of giving them leadership of the project as we graduate. The student bodies of Kingwood Park and Summer Creek have shown rapt interest in this project and we believe there will be no problem in finding individuals willing to commit to this project.
