If you will be bringing your child to school, please use the circle drive in front of the school (facing Forest Garden) for drop off & pick up at the door at the southern end of the building. District School Calendar

The 7:55 class will have snack time mid-morning. Please send a snack with your child each day. We use this time to practice social skills, as well as vocabulary development. If a child forgets his snack, I will offer him crackers & water. The 11:00 class will have lunch at approximately 11:15. Your child may bring a lunch or receive a free lunch through the cafeteria. Lunches will be eaten in our classroom. If your child will be buying his lunch, please establish an account with the cafeteria manager. Once the account is set up, your child will be assigned an account number. We use this time to practice social skills, as well as vocabulary development.

Every student needs a change of clothes (pants/shorts, shirt, underwear & socks) to keep at school OR in his backpack. All clothing items should be labeled with the child's name. This will be convenient in the event of accidents or spills.

If your child is wearing diapers or pull-ups, please send a package (labeled with name) to be kept at school along with a box of wet wipes & a box of plastic bags for soiled items. We will notify you when your child's supplies are in need of restocking. Flushable wipes are optional for students using the potty. Elastic waistbands are helpful to promote independance in the potty process.

Please check your child's folder each day for work & information from the teacher. Please remove your child's work & return the folder each day. Each day, I will send home a daily report of activities we did (time permitting) or communication to parents. In I send a newsletter of upcoming events & activities for the week. The "Home -School" connection is very important & this is an easy way to communicate with each other.

Your child is expected to attend class everyday. However, if your child has had fever, vomiting, or diarrhea, he should be free of symptoms for 24 hours before returning to class. This is the Humble ISD policy & will help prevent the spread of infection and disease for both the children and the staff. Please call the absentee line at 281-641-2219 to report your child's absence. Upon his return to school, a note documenting his absence is required for attendance office. You may e-mail me or send a hand written note.

Our class will have three holiday parties this year: Winter (Dec.), Friendship (Feb. 14) and Spring(Egg Hunt). You will be given more information when dates and times are set. We do not give out private party invitations to our class at school per Humble ISD policy.

SPARK is an interactive program for families of preschool age children in the district. The program includes activities such as story time, field trips, arts and crafts, etc. SPARK is open to ANY child in the age range of 3 up to 5 by September 1st of the current school year. Activities are structured developmentally for our pre-school population, and for this reason, children younger than three and children who are kindergarten age are ineligible. Activities are offered four days per week, at various elementary campuses, and are planned and facilitated by preschool teachers in Humble ISD. For a calendar of events or more information, contact Lori Gregory atlori.gregory@humble.k12.tx.us or go to website www.humbleisd.net/spark
