Humble ISD is growing by about 1,000 students per year as new homes are built and families move to the school district. More students increase demand for school facilities. Additionally, Humble ISD is an aging district. Bond funds would be used to build new schools, rebuild aging facilities, renovate and repair existing school facilities, and update technology and safety infrastructure.

Bond 2018 is for $575 million
The construction plan includes:- A new middle school
- A new elementary school
- Rebuilding Kingwood Middle School
- Rebuilding Lakeland Elementary School
- A second Transportation Center
- Expanding the District Police Station
- Districtwide technology and security projects
- Renovations, updates, and repairs to high school, middle school, and elementary school campuses
No Tax Rate Increase

Bond 2018 would not impact Humble ISD’s tax rate. The tax rate has been $1.52 since 2008. With approval of Bond 2018 the tax rate will remain $1.52.
