• Deerwood Elementary School

     Dedication

    A dedication ceremony was held for the new Deerwood Elementary School on October 2, 1986.

    Student Ashley Gibson gave the invocation.

    Students in the Deerwood Safety Patrol gave the flag salute.

    Principal Pat Dinhoble gave the welcoming address and intrued the guest speakers.

    Assistant Principal Karen Woodman introduced other guests for the evening.

    Superintendent Dr. Michael Say made the dedicatory address.

    School Board member Board Berry spoke on how the school serves the community and neighborhood involvement.

    Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Education Dr. Eugene Caldcleugh accepted the building for elementary education

    Student representatives of various grade levels also accepted the building for the students.

    Deerwood PTA President Patsy Panel accepted the school on behalf of the community.

    Mrs. Dinhoble accepted the school on behalf of the staff.
