The AVID Elective 

The AVID Elective is a year-long course providing academic and executive function skills in order to assist students in navigating the complexities of advanced coursework and post-secondary preparedness by accelerating academic success. Students enroll in the most rigorous courses available on their home campus, and through the AVID elective, are provided an academic and personal system of support. Each week, students receive instruction that utilizes a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum, tutor-facilitated study groups, motivational activities, and academic success skills.

 

The AVID elective focuses on the following student outcomes: Student Agency, Rigorous Academic Preparedness, and Opportunity Knowledge.
