Arriving at School

School begins promptly at 8:35 a.m. for ALL students. However, teachers are not on duty in the commons until 8:05 a.m. Due to safety and supervision in the morning, students will not be permitted in the building before 7:30 a.m.
All students who arrive early should use either entrance on the Sandy Forks or Lake Houston Parkway side of the building. Students are not allowed in the main halls Mon., Tues., Wed., or Friday before 8:25 a.m. unless they are going to the library at 8:05 a.m., need to see the nurse, are attending tutoring at 7:45 a.m. or attending morning D-hall at 7:35 a.m.. A bell rings at 7:45 for tutoring. At 8:25 a.m., all students may go to their lockers.During late arrival on Thursday, students will be allowed in the main hallways and locker areas after the 10:05 bell rings. Students attending Thursday morning activities inside the building must arrive by 8:30 a.m. to avoid being locked out of the building. After 8:30 and before 9:45 a.m. on Thursdays, students will only be allowed in the building if a teacher, coach or staff member has made prior arrangements to meet the student at the Commons’ door to let them in the building and escort the student(s) to the classroom or gym. The tardy bell will ring at 10:15 a.m. on late arrival days.Please remember for safety of all our students, we ask all family members not to drop off students in the faculty parking lot.
