North Belt Elementary is a Title 1 school located at Beltway 8 and Mesa. The school does not have a PTO to assist with fundraising or taking care of their teachers so we have chosen to bless them this year. The staff of Groves Elementary will be adopting the staff of Northbelt. We will be decorating their teacher's lounge with donated items and providing lunch for them. We are asking that students bring a new, unwrapped grade level appropriate book that we can gift to the students of North Belt, meaning Kinder bring Kinder appropriate, 1st grade bring 1st grade level, etc. For some of these students, this might be one of the only gifts they receive for Christmas this year. (If you'd like, your child can place a card/note/sticker in the book with something along the lines of "To my friend at North Belt".) Please help by sending a book with your child. We need all donations in by Dec. 4th. We will be making the delivery and feeding their staff on Dec. 9th. Your participation in this endeavor is voluntary and greatly appreciated. There will be a collection box at the front office for your student to drop off their book.Scholastic Book Orders: Order forms will go home this week. Ordering online is the easiest way to pay.
