Play is an essential part of early learning.
It is the lifeblood of the learning process.
As children play they are developing the cognitive, socio-emotional and physical skills they will need to take them into a successful adulthood.
They are developing their curiosity, problem solving, intentionality, flexibility, and verbal & non-verbal communication skills.
They are developing their emotional intelligence, they are finding their voice and learning confidence, cooperation, sharing, negotiation, empathy and persistence.
Every time they hit the playground, they are developing their gross motor skills and by planting their feet in the warm, damp earth they are connecting with the power and wonder of nature.
It’s definitely NOT “just play”
THEY ARE MASTERING SKILLS FOR LIFE!!!
