  • Hello, I am the counselor  here at the Community Learning Center.  I look forward to working with an awesome team of people who has the same goals and objectives for providing a fun, safe, nurturing and creative learning environment for our students.  I was born and raised in Tyler, Texas, attended public school and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School.  I love to read, travel and spend time with family and friends.  My passion is working with children.

I attended Stephen F. Austin State University and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech and Hearing Therapy, and a Master of Education Degree in Special Education.  I attended Prairie A & M University and earned a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling.  I received my Principal Certification from the 21st Century Leadership Principal Preparation Program. For the past 8 years, I have been in Aldine I.S.D. at Wilson Intermediate as a Special Education Teacher.  Of which, in 2011 - 2012, I was honored to be announced as "Teacher of the Year".

As counselor at CLC, I am responsible for the master schedule as well as individual and group counseling. It is my desire to promote academic success and help students understand and deal with social, behavioral, and personal problems and enable them to become responsible and productive citizens."
