    Kingwood Park families,

    Mark your calendars!  On Tuesday, March 7, we will be administering the ACT suite of assessments to our 9th,10th and 11th grade students.

    9th graders will take the PreACT 8/9

    10th graders will take the PreACT

    11th graders will take the School Day ACT

    NO registration is required, we will automatically enroll your student to participate at no charge! More test day details will follow.  For now, we encourage students to begin studying using their district provided SHMOOP! account.  Directions for accessing SHMOOP Test Prep! can be found HERE

    Lone Star College Dual Credit Payment Due (Jan 7) for Spring Semester 

     
    Payment for your student's Dual Credit English or History class with Lone Star College for Spring Semester is now available.  Please see the steps to make payments below.  Payment is made directly to Lone Star College I am told that dual credit waivers have been applied so please let me know if your payment does not reflect that (cost should be around $80)   Payment must be made  by January 7 or the student will be dropped from the spring class.  Please do not wait until last minute!
     
    Your student is receiving 3 college credits in both the  Fall and Spring semester for a total of 6 college credits for the year.  
    • English 1301 (Fall - 3 credits)  and English 1302 (Spring - 3 credits)
    • History 1301 (Fall - 3 credits) and History 1302 (Spring - 3 credits)
     
    Steps to make a Dual Credit Lone Star Payment 
    •  Navigate to Lone Star “myLonestar” Login Page
    • Type in your Username and Password. Call Help Desk Number on the login page if need assistance
    • Then select the “Student” tile to proceed to your Student Homepage.
    • Select “Financial Account” Tile
    • Select “Make Payments

     

    On Ramps Payment Due Nov 18

    Dear Parents of students enrolled in a UT OnRamps course:

    Payment is now due for your UT OnRamps courses. All payments will be made through RevTrak fee management. To make a payment for your student’s UT OnRamps course, login to the Humble ISD RevTraK Web Store:

    If you do not have a RevTrak login, enter your email address and create a new account.

    Once logged in, select “Add Student” and enter the Student ID number and Pin for each student enrolled in UT OnRamps courses. Your student’s Pin will be their last name (capitalize first letter).  

    Then select “Add Student”. 

    Your student’s UT OnRamps course fees will be shown by class. Select “Add to Cart” for each course to make payment.

    All OnRamps fees must be paid by Friday, November 18. Any questions about the payment process should be directed to your campus Advanced Academic Administrator, Dr. Donna Papadimitriou: Donna.Papadimitriou@humbleisd.net

    To take dual credit courses, students must meet TSIA2 eligibility, which can be accomplished by taking the TSIA2 and meeting certain score thresholds. Other ways to become TSIA2 complete are listed below:

    If you’re not ready for college-level courses, the tests help determine what types of courses or intervention will best prepare you for college-level work. You take TSIA2 tests on a computer and results are provided immediately upon completion of the exam. Each testing site is limited to 50 spots, so if you're interested, sign up using this form and a district representative will be in contact.

  • The AP Test Registration & Payment window is OPEN

    September 1 - October 28, 2022

    Please ensure that students have completed both steps listed below in order to successfully register for their AP test(s):

    Step 1: Activate your exam by using the JOIN CODE provided by each of your AP Teachers in MyAP.  Once you have joined, you are automatically activated.

    Step 2: Submit exam fees on the APTS Website by midnight, October 28.

    * EXAM FEE: $97

    * Students who are on Free/Reduced Lunch OR are participating in AVID will receive a fee reduction code via EMAIL no later than September 16 to use at checkout. *Email will be sent to the address listed in HAC. If you qualify and need your code, please email our testing coordinator, Sarah Olesen,  coordinator solesen@humbleisd.net

    LATE REGISTRATION is November 16, 2022 - February 24, 2023. * There is a $40 fee applied to each exam during this late registration window.  Students who enroll in a spring semester course will have an opportunity to register without penalty from January 4 - February 24.
