Hours
The HMS Library Media Center is open from 8 am to 4 pm every day.
Students are welcome to visit :
- during classes (only if they are caught up on work and will not miss instruction) with a pass from their teacher
- Huddle (after they finish the day's activity - or need a book for DEAR) with a pass from their teacher.
Rules
- Any student not visiting with a class during the day MUST have a hall pass from a teacher or they will not be allowed in the Media Center.
- Students are NOT allowed to visit the library during lunch without special permission from the media specialist.
- Food and drink are not allowed without special permission from the media specialist.
- Bad language and rude or inappropriate behavior will result in a student's immediate dismissal from the library and may include a disciplinary referral if necessary.
Book Check Outs
Students are allowed to check out 3 books at a time and may keep them for up to 2 weeks. If they need additional time to read their books, they will need to renew them at the HMS library.
Books can be returned anytime in one of the locked book return bins located around the library.
Overdue books will incur fines.
