    Hello.  My name is Dana Zuercher, and I am the SFE school counselor.  Welcome to the 2022 - 23 school year. To tell you a little about me, I am a native Houstonian. I've been married to my husband, Jay, for 27 years, have a 24 year old son, and 2 adorable fur boys at home: Bodie and Jasper. I graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor's in Education, as well as a Master's in Counseling.  I just completed my 14th year as an SFE Shark.  In my free time, I love spending time by the pool or at the beach while reading a good book, and listening to music. I love attending concerts and most weekends can be found boating on Lake Conroe.  It is truly a pleasure to be a part of the SFE community!

    Counseling Services Available

                                                                           

    • Personalized Counseling: 1:1 Meetings for all Students
    • Guidance Lessons (K-5)
    • Individual Planning - (Goal setting/Academic Planning)
    • Responsive Services (Crisis Counseling, Individual Counseling, and Groups)
      *Individual counseling is provided to address issues that students may be incurring in the school setting.  Topics such as friendship, self-esteem, conflict resolution, and academic goal setting may be discussed.  School counseling is short-term and solution based, (usually 5-6 sessions).
      *I can offer referrals if more intensive therapeutic counseling is needed. 
    • Parental Support (Workshops, Referrals, Conferencing)
