WMS Dance

  • Welcome to WMS Dance!  I am thrilled to be teaching dance class this school year. I am committed to making my classroom a safe and challenging environment, yet provoking each individual to think critically.  In dance class we will explore a variety of dance styles and techniques through history, terminology, research, observations, critiques, choreography, and movement. In addition to dance styles we will create dance studies, expand our knowledge of the human anatomy, display audience etiquette, and have the opportunity to perform.

     Ms. Luna-Beall's Background:

Ms. Luna-Beall graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Dance Education. She is certified in Dance 6th-12th and in Physical Education K-12th.  Ms. Luna-Beall began her teaching career in the fall of 2002 at Eisenhower Ninth Grade School as a dance teacher and assistant director to Eisenhower High School's Golden Eaglettes Dance Team. She would become the acting director that year and was named the offical Golden Eaglettes Dance Team director in May 2003. Ms. Luna-Beall started a new journey in 2015, after a successful high school career she began teaching at a magnet intermediate school at Jewel Simpson Houston Academy and became an instructor at Stacey's Dance Studio. Ms. Luna-Beall continued to teach dance, direct the Houston Academy Dance Company, and instruct Strutters at Stacey's.  She was very excited to bring her passion for dance to her own community in Humble ISD in the fall of 2019, as she became the dance teacher and Lionettes Dance Team director at Woodcreek Middle School.

When not teaching Ms. Luna-Beall loves cuddling with your dog, Bella, and watching her daughter perform with the National Award-Winning Kingwood High School Fillies Dance Team.
