Welcome to US History!

My name is LaQuanta Irvin-Smith, and I am the Social Studies Instructional Coach. I am looking forward to making sure all of our Social Studies classes are engaging and rigorous. I am looking forward to an exciting year as your child's teacher. This will be my sixth year being an educator and, of course, my first at ARMS, and I love it here. I firmly believe in ARMS's vision statement, "Building a Legacy that Fuels Our Future." I will expose your child to the world of coding and digital technology in US History.  I graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown with a degree in Political Science. I am currently working on my Master's in Business Administration. When I am not in the classroom, my family and I usually attend one of my kid's events. I am also a big Philadelphia Eagles fan. This year will be filled with fun, learning, and new adventures!
