HISD Teacher Technology Certification Program

Based on the history of staff development in Humble ISD and the need for accountability that would make technology training more effective, a structured staff development system for technology was created. The Humble ISD Technology Certification Program will ensure that all Humble ISD instructional staff members meet or exceed state mandates for technology proficiencies. In addition, it will ensure that technology staff development is focused on bringing all district employees to a standard level of expertise, allowing them to provide opportunities for students to use technology in the classroom.  At this time, this certification is REQUIRED for all Instructional Staff.  It is offered as an option for Administrators, Office Professionals and ParaEducators but currently not required.

Onilne courses are currently not available. We are in the process of moving to a new online management system called moodle. In the Spring of 2009 online courses will be made available again. One semester extension to the 2 year completion requirement will be given due to the delay.
