“Red Ribbon Week”
At Willow Creek Elementary
September 29-October 3rd
We will be having an exciting week of activities to
celebrate Red Ribbon Week this year! Below is a list of themes and/or
activities for the rest of the week. We hope that you will encourage your students to participate!
WEDNESDAY, Oct. 1st- “Crazy Hair Day!” Students will receive stickers and lollipops this day! Hope students wear their craziest hairstyles!
THURSDAY, Oct. 2nd-
“Orange you Glad you are Drug Free!! Students will receive a bookmark on
this day and wear ORANGE clothing.
FRIDAY, Oct. 3rd-BIKE RODEO and Mustache Day (I mustache you not to do drugs!!). Students in grades K-4 will ride their bikes to school and participate in a Bike Rodeo during the day. Students must have a bike helmet. 5th graders will take part in a special presentation by a DEA agent! Students will get a bracelet and will hopefully wear their favorite mustache items!
A Day of Drumming with Rhythm Path
Willow Creek students will participate in an interactive drumming day from Rhythm Path on October 27th. Girls, please do NOT wear skirts/dresses that day. No metal hand jewelry like rings, watches and bracelets are to be worn. Each drum has a goat skin on it and can be damaged with jewelry.
If you need to change your child’s mode of transportation during the school day, please call or email your child's teacher directly and leave a message before 1:30. Messages left after that time may not be received before dismissal. If you have an emergency and need to call after the state time, please call the main office.Early Pick-Up

8:10-9:00 – Kindergarten
9:00 – 9:50 – 1st Grade
9:50-10:40 – 3rd Grade
10:45-11:35 – 2nd Grade
12:40-1:30 – 4th Grade
2:00-3:00 – 5th Grade Assembly
The music room wants to play some rhythm games using plastic food toys from play kitchen sets. If you have some laying around and don't need them, Mrs. Heileman has a home for them."
