Dear Deerwood Dolphin Family,

 

As many of you know by now, I have announced my retirement. 

 

I want to express my sincere appreciation for the opportunity to serve you and your children for the past 18 years.  I carry with me such fond memories.  Deerwood will always hold a very special place in my heart!

 

I know that Deerwood will be in the very capable hands of the new principal, Carla Threadgill and assistant principal, Bonnie Godinich.

 

I wish our Deerwood Family all the best and continued success.

2013-2014 School Supplies
School supply packets are now on sale for the 2013-2014 school year. Parents may order school supplies on campus through June 7 or online at www.epipacks.com through June 24. To order online please use School ID DEE003. These neatly pre-packaged supplies will arrive at DWE in August and will be ready for your child when school starts.
 
2013-2014 Pre-Registration
Parents of students who will be new to Humble ISD in August should complete online pre-registration at 
https://eshac.humble.k12.tx.us/EO_Parent/User/Login.aspx

 
Please contact Anne Tynan at 281.641.2203 to make an appointment to complete registration. Appointments are available prior to May 10 and after August 14. The following documents will be required at your registration appointment:
  • official birth certificate
  • immunization records
  • child's social security card
  • parent's driver license for identification purposes
  • last report card from the previous school
  • previous school's mailing address
  • proof of residency in Humble ISD (utility bill, lease agreement, house closing statement)
  • also, it is helpful to bring TAKS or other standardized test results if available


    • 2013-2014 Returning Student Information
    Parents of all current Humble ISD students who will be returning in the fall will be required to update their child's registration information using Home Access Center in August. It is recommended that each parent check their HAC account at https://eshac.humble.k12.tx.us/homeaccess/  before school releases for summer and notify the campus if you have any difficulty.

      Dolphin Mail
      Deerwood Elementary uses a school-wide e-mail system to communicate important information with parents. Please look for your Dolphin Mail on Fridays. If you are not receiving Dolphin Mail notifications, please email your child's homeroom teacher and request to be added to the e-mail directory.

    • Morning Arrival
      Please help us transition students to the regular morning routine. All students arriving prior to 7:50 a.m. should report to the cafeteria to wait for dismissal by grade-level. Parents escorting your children to school should say your good-byes at the double doors. Following this routine will help the students know what is expected and foster independence and responsibility.
